Barren River Lake

What a great place to live or have a summer home. This is the hottest property in the area.. In the fall the lake, which is controled by the Army Corps of Engineers ,is lowered and only 4,000 or so acres can be used for boating. contact me for full details.)The lake is brought back to "summer pool"  (10,000 acres) in early Summer. The lake abounds with fish and supports all kinds of boating activities. There are several great marinas with the largest being in the Barren River Lake State Park.

Most properties require the use of staircases to go down to the lake. The Corps must approve the access as well as giving permission to install a dock.
